If you’re shopping for an electric SUV, ignoring the 2025 Polestar 3: Pricing, Review, Full Specs & Release Date is tough. The EV from Volvo’s spinoff-EV brand is poised to challenge vehicles like the Audi e-Tron, Mercedes-Benz EQE, and Porsche Macan.
Its dual-motor powertrain delivers a claimed 300-mile range and can get you from zero to 60 in less than five seconds. Plus, it offers cutting-edge advanced driver assistance systems that help you stay safe.
The Polestar 3 is the second model from Volvo’s spinoff-EV brand, and it marks a more precise differentiation than the hybrid grand tourer that debuted in 2021. The SUV is a high-rider with plenty of cargo space, while its interior feels more luxurious than the upscale Volvo products it shares a platform with. The Polestar also aims to be greener than its siblings, with a focus on sustainable materials.
2025 Polestar 3 Performance
Those include animal-welfare-certified leather, and the seats are made with traceable wool. The company says it’s also reducing emissions by using biofuel instead of petroleum-based fuel for its engine. The Polestar also offers a battery warranty that matches Tesla for 10 years and a three-year complimentary maintenance program.
Polestar’s new electric vehicle is available in two trim levels. The base Long Range Dual Motor packs two electric motors and a 107kWh (usable or 111kWh gross) nickel-manganese-cobalt battery for a claimed 360kW and 840Nm of power. Buyers can upgrade to the Performance pack, which bumps horsepower to 517 and shaves 30 miles from the claimed range.
Both versions come standard with many features you’d typically pay extra for in competing German SUVs. There’s a 9-inch head-up display, automatic parking assist, a hands-free driving capability that lets you steer the vehicle with your feet, a 25-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system, and heated rear seats.
The SUV also has a camera that tracks the driver’s eyes to detect distraction or drowsiness. The system then issues a visual and audible warning before stopping the car.
You can also add a Pilot pack with lidar to your Polestar 3, which preps the SUV for autonomous highway piloting functionality. The technology combines roof-mounted cameras and lidar sensors with a centralized NVIDIA computing system to create a 3-dimensional understanding of the car’s environment.
Other features that can be added to the car include a wireless charging pad, three-zone climate control, a power liftgate, and a power-folding steering wheel.
2025 Polestar 3 Pricing, Launch Date
Polestar hasn’t yet said when the 3 will hit dealerships or how much it will cost, but a fully loaded version could run you just under $100,000. The Starter Version Price will be $85,300. That’s a lot of money for a nascent brand to ask its first customers to part with. Still, the Polestar’s handsome design and impressive capability may lure buyers away from established rivals.
The brand also hopes that an expanded lineup of electric vehicles and a generous owner’s warranty will help it gain traction in the US market. There is no official Release Date for 2025 Polestar 3 available. There is no chance of a Release in 2024. So, it will probably be released in 2025.
